... br> Had been such beautiful views last night descending from them there hills onto the string of coastal villages with the lights of the island behind and then a big yellow squashed moon rising over it all – went to the prom about 9pm to see if I could see it – too early and bad angle too as not a glimmer, but a lovely balmy breeze. A reasonably smooth if very windy road through steep green hills, the Parana pine (Araucaria) giving way to more Alpine pines for a while before we descended back into jungle. The walls of green were punctuated by lots of river, waterfalls and the omnipresent trees with both white and purple flowers – there are always more of the latter and here the blossom and colour was even more intense than previously.

They showed us around their city and treated us to some amazing pasteles (deep fried pastries filled with cheese ans ground beef) and Adrianos family hosted an amazing BBQ with delicious meat, BBQ cheese, pineapple and so much more. We really enjoyed getting out of the city and seeing their town.

Guess I’m sleeping on the sofa tonight...

      Until the next time...!

... down to the swimming pool that was sat on the rocks above the ocean, it really was amazing.

Over the next few days Sam and Renato showed us around the nighbouring area which was just spectacular. It had all the beauty of Thailand and South East Asia but with the waves of the Atlantic and the culture of Latin America. It was now the knock out stages of the tournament and since Renato ...
