I was dropped off along the beach. I walked into a hotel and asked for directions. I felt like I was walking for a long time. After walking past the street several times where my host was living. I finally found the place after accessing wifi and saw messages from Cintia. It was 10.30 ...

Not much of it's character left and I’m sure the cruiseship customers didn’t help, but headed north along the beaches for a couple of places I’d seen on the net in Santa Teresa – great location right on a nice unspoilt beach, but the water still a bit cloudy & weedy for my tastes – one 350 (nearly 100) & ...

6.5 hours later, I arrive in Santos, only hour ...

... up chairs and our fireworks on the beach. Around 11:30 herds of people started flocking to the beach. There were people who had dug holes and lit candles all over the beach. And of course people lighting fireworks. Once we counted down to New Years there was a group next to us who had built a raft with candles and they walked out and set it to sea. One other tradition is to jump 7 waves. So people at their leisure walked to the ocean and jumped 7 waves. ...

... bit all the way round and entering a new code. Thirdly, I was very tired because it was 2am as we had just come back from a bar, so I was understandably sleepy. Somehow I changed the code without realising so the next morning when I went to retrieve my underwear, toothbrush etc (pretty vital items), I found I was unable to open the lock. Hence the embarrassing trip to reception...(in my pajamas as my clothes were in my locker) I’m not even sure how ...
