So, we spent the last couple of days in Chichiriviche by the ocean side at a "posada" (hostel) called Morena's Place. Carlos, the dueño, was extremely friendly and lent us a cooler and snorkel gear to take to the keys.
On day one we hopped on a small boat with a Venezuelan family to Cayo Sal with our cooler full of bread, cheese, and of course some rum! The family refused to let us pay for the ride and the abuelita was ...
... blue, I cannot put it into words. Just google it, please. Ill show you a LOT of pictures when I get home.
Spent the day swimming, lounging, people watching, and picnicking, basically the relaxation I had been waiting three years for, and took the crazy ride home at 5. I dont even care what we do for the rest of the trip, I loved that beach so much. But, dont worry, i expect plenty of fun to come.

Barquisimeto, Northwest Venezuela, Venezuela riviere.xavier... boas, and last but not least, anacondas. We did most of our animal watching from a small boat as we cruised down this river. The others did some piranha fishing, but I wouldn't dare, because if I caught one then I would have to touch it in order to let it go, and I just wasn't willing to do that, know what I'm sayin? The river dolphins put on quite a show for us, jumping around and all they were so cute! We ...

Barquisimeto, Venezuela palokit... I looked like a guitarist in a 60´s rock band, or a member of the group, Hanson. David picked me up in the post-wedding car of the "novios" (newlyweds). It was decorated with a white ribbon and flowers, and we looked like a couple. I put my arm around David´s shoulder; he hugged me. People looked at us. David waved his hand at them effiminently, and we laughed. At David´s, all were preparing themselves. David´s young cousin, Juan-Jose, had cut his dark hair a bit and ...
Barquisimeto, Venezuela modernoddyseus... thus began my day in a Venezuelan small town. I love small towns. Luisa, with light, smooth skin and long, dark hair, greeted me with a big embrace and laugh. During the day, she drove me outside the town to a vast, breezy reservoir of living brown waves surrounded by pretty, green hills. This was a weekend hangout place for drinking Tucuyanos; so was a serene river spot on the other side of town. We hung around this place long enough to see three bathing Tucuyanos ...
