... into Hell Hunt, which had an impressive beer selection and claims to be the first pub in Estonia - despite being founded in 1993.
It was a pretty nice bar, so when Brockton got in, after giving him a brief walk through town, we ended up taking him there and drinking the rest of the night. Good introduction to Tallinn I think, weather notwithstanding. I seriously hope the rest of the week ends up being substantially warmer. There's only so much May snow that I can take.
... the dunkel beer was probably the best I had whilst over there. Its a bit of a walk from the Old Town (15-20mins) but definitely worth it!
OVERALL TALLINN GRADE: A
Enough to do and see, great food and drink and pretty cheap to get to from the UK. There isn't enough to keep you for longer than two/three days but if that is what you are after then I would heartily recommend it.
... in the bog are actually quite old - they just grow extremely slowly in those conditions. It was easiest to walk in this section, since there were no branches to keep out of our faces.
Half way, we stopped for a meal of hearty bean soup, tea and a treat (kept amazingly warm by thermos'). Food outdoors always tastes better!
