Little to report today beyond the meagreness of the hotel breakfast (which meant I had to go straight out to get another one from a café) and that I spent several hours in a Cyber Gaming Café updating this blog while surrounded by a crowd of crazy gamers, playing across networks and screaming at each other and their screens ... but I guess it keeps them off the street ;)

Amazing what a night's sleep can achieve: of course another beautiful day dawned and the world looked a different place from the dismal one I'd left the previous night. What a spectacular journey up the A75 to this campsite, situated on the outskirts of Clermont-Ferrand. The free (unusually for France) motorway snakes up and down mountain passes, right up through the centre of France. The highest point is 1100 metres but the highlight was crossing the Milau viaduct. The structure gives the impression that you are floating above the villages, which are way, way down in the valley below you.
