Atlantic City was the last stop on our loop back to fly out from New York. We stayed the night at a Casino Hotel.....weird place!

The morning was spent down on the boardwalk and beach. A tractor type machine rakes the beach to clear the debris of the night before.

... school and it was funny to hear her switch between Afrikaans and speaking English with an American accent – I suppose a bit like me with an Australian accent! ... Princeton with it's ivy covered building and sun dappled roads. The leave were gorgeous, and, in retrospect, perhaps some of the best of the trip. ... that has the beach on one side and the casinos and shops on the other. At 7.30 pm all of the shops were closed, half of the casinos were boarded up and only a few people were walking around.

I can't say that AC was ever a great place, as compared to the mega casinos and hotels in Asia the place is a dump. I'm sure however that in its time it was considered exciting but it sure is an ugly place. One street back from the strip and you find yourself in ...
