      ... of the original plans were also burnt. But overall they have stuck to Gaudi's original plan and the building inside and out is spectacular. Our second stop was Park Guell, which is a park with a lot of sculptures and architecture from Gaudi as well. The park had a beautiful view of the city with a nice terrace with mosaic benches.       ... I arrive at the pedestrian bridge leading to Las Ramblas. Of course, the bridge is up when I arrive to allow boats to pass and the line is a mile long, so takes a bit of time, but I got nothing but time, I'm on vacation :).

      ... After the tour we were dropped off at Sagrada Familia, one of the biggest and best churches in the world. Started in the 1800's or something it was estimated to take 750 years to build!! Since then that's been dramatically reduced and it's meant to be complete in 2026. Even though it's not finished it was still breathtaking to see the size and detail in the stones and statues.       ... paintings and sculptures. It was amazing to see the procedure they used to get the paintings off rock and stone walls and then put them on new spaces in the museum, without reprinting them.
