... it was a wonderful start to the New Year! After a few minutes more of celebration we all settled back in to finish up with dessert and then called it a night. Truly the meal and the experience turned out to be much more than we had bargained for and we had an excellent time starting off 2015!

As much as my body was begging me to climb into that top bunk I had been assigned four floors up, I couldn't. I needed clothing. I didn't even have underwear! And being the lost-bag virgin I was, I really didn't know what to expect--whether the "in the morning" prediction was optimistic or not. So I showered the stench ...

... is still going on and it is expected to be completed in about 20 years. When the church is finished it will have 18 towers: 12 dedicated to the apostles, 4 to the evangelists, one to Jesus and another to Mary. Along the outside there are many "facades" that depict the important scenes in Christian life -- the Nativity, the Passion, etc.

It didn't take us long to realize that we'd made the right decision to focus our Barcelona visit ...
