    ... the boat. He's gotten really good at this now. The downfall of the stern to dock was that we did not have a gangway to use from the boat to the dock. We had to use a temporary wooden one for Customs and Immigration. When Custom and Immigration arrived, we welcomed all seven officials onto our back cockpit.     ... were a strictly all-inclusive beach kind of traveller I would go back. Punta Cana has beautiful beaches and great resorts. My favourite part was the visit to the Cathedral and making new friends.

    ... It is lined with dozens of beer huts and outside bars, all competing with one other with loud music and beer. People line both sides of the street and the median, and basically hang out and drink and dance the night away. You can also get ice cream at the ice cream store, and if you feel so inclined, you can purchase a hot dog from one of the many travelling barbeques that are moving along the sidewalks...cooking while being pushed along.     ... imagine, as those of you who know me well know that I LOVE to swim!! I am really happy about the size of it as well, as it is decent for doing laps - and I will be able to keep in swimming shape for triathlon season next summer! If only the roads were good enough to have a bike...sigh. I guess I can't have everything - I will settle for the pool...and the 2 minute walk from the white sand beach! I have included a view of the beach ...

The schools were very small, as you can see, but the teachers have worked very hard to make the walls attractive and to do the best they can with what they've got. One of the Consuelo Rotarians is actually a teacher in one of these bateyes, so it was really nice for her to have her students receive these supplies.
