First entry in my travel blog and I am starting it off with my 2nd trip to Costa Rica. This trip this time is actually a business trip but I hope that I will also get enough free time to do some more sightseeing because last time I missed out on the canopy tours, the waterfalls and the butterfly farms Tomorrow I will get my work schedule so I will keep you posted on my travel itinerary.

It was a snowy early morning in Toronto but fortunately the real snow had yet to arrive in Hog Town. Our flight was scheduled to leave at 7 am and we were very much hoping that we would be able to get out before the massive storm that was predicted would arrive. On board we stared out into the closing whiteness and at the line of planes in front of us taxiing to the run way. Ten minutes past our departure time and we entered the skies and headed off towards the sunny tropical destination of ....

... clothing, skinny girls with barely any clothing and guys standing around. The dancing…the traditional hump a girl from the back two step.
I am sad to know that choosing awful dancers to be on stage is international. I have been to many cities coast to coast in the US and I thought it was just there that the people who thought they could dance, but really were just chosen because they could fit the outfit, got to be on stage… ...
... Headed out on our Land Cruiser doing some serious 4x4 crossings of some rivers, downed trees, and dried up stream channels to get us to Bambu where we transferred our gear to a hollowed out canoe with a vicious 15hsp motor to take us down the Sixaola river bordering Panama and up the Yorkin to the BriBri indian tribal town named for the river. Once there, we back-packed our crazy amount of gear into another river (illegally crossing into the ...
Gondoca, Costa Rica bassmanms... be nice. Today I woke up late and had breakfast. After that, I helped make an altar with Raven, another person we know. I did that all day except for lunch ( I had a salad, grilled cheese and papaya, banana strawberry smoothie). An altar is this circle where you put flowers and rocks. The rocks have special meanings, one is a turtle, one is fire, one is water and one is a spiritual rock in the center. The spiritual rock has two pillars that go down where they bury ...

Various locations in Costa Rica, Costa Rica tropicalcr... stray dogs, though not quite as many as I saw in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. It's not always easy to tell which dogs are strays, because pets are seldom collared or leashed, and many aren't even neutered. There is a much more casual attitude toward feeding and petting strange dogs, allowing pets to roam free, and bringing them to bars and restaurants. I know of no animal control service. Therefore, I imagine, the line between "pet" and "stray" may be less ...
