These pictures are from me trying to take a photo of myself writing with my ancient feather pen from the Alicante market and from walking around Alicante on a tour of the the two cathedrals, San Nicolas y Santa Barbara.
The pictures later are from our visit to two little pueblos just outside of Alicante; Guadalest and Altea. In the little town of Guadalest is a beautiful castle ...
... up." And now I don't even have to worry about hopes because it's a reality. What a nice feeling. I rarely feel content and satisfied and even more than that excited about things and a truly happy camper. I feel corny. Haha. But I'm glad I feel corny rather than homesick or actually sick or depressed. And I hope that I can hold onto this feeling and experience more great ones as the time comes to pass.
My only sadness is ...
So Alex had to go back to the consulate in the morning and being true friends me and Olly decided to join him. In the Brittish consulate you basically have about 15 people at any time who have had their passports robbed. During our short stay we spoke to a few fellow British people around us. A particularily funny convosation started with an old british man who was keen to share his words of wisdom, unfortunately, he was not even slightly wise. He started the ...
Alacante, Valencia, Spain chris_jones01... few hours Miguel turned up and told us his stories of being lost which involved running round the city for two hours looking confused. He obviously went up for a shower. Shortly after a German girl (Jessica) started talking to me looking to meet some people. She told me a funny story about how she had just seen this crazy looking confused person running around a bus stop. This story was ...

We missioned round the town looking for beer, when we found it we sat outside the door of the shop on the floor drinking. . . we were soon moved on. Fortunatelly, there was a bench round the corner and Vince had a harmonica. They were robbed in Barcalona like us. So, we sang the Peniscola/Barcalona blues. "going down to Barcalona. . . . Ain't as bad as Peniscola. . . . Takin' my ...

Then we soundly fell asleep to the sound of heavy traffic a few meters away.

... very peaceful and rejuvenating time. Eating out every day, drinking wine daily and eating too many desserts was starting to become way too routine. We got some advice from Stefano about checking out the beaches in Sabaudia- was he ever right! This area turned out to be the Bayhead of Rome... .tranquil, quiet, expensive , but worth the ride (see pictures). We left Italy and headed for another boat (see picture) from Civitavecchia outside Rome to Barcelona. It was an ...
