Tubing and the night train

... was beautiful. It gave a great view on the mountains. The guide politely pointed to a snake hanging in the trees. Kind of him. Brrr. After about 45 minutes we reached the point where we should exit the water and our ride was waiting. But there was a thin fish line and I ran into it. I grasped the line, afraid the hook would end up in some softer parts that I surely didn't want to be pinched. I managed to release tension in the hook and get the wire to ...

... in the north of the Khao Sok national park, and I have to say this is one of the best things we have done so far. Through Laos, Ha Long Bay, and Southern Thailand it has become apparent that limestone formations, spectacular though they may be, are actually 10 a penny (or paisa) in South East Asia. ... was quite overwhelming and I can see why. We are rewarded by seeing a cascading waterfall inside the cave over big smooth rocks and we could even sit under it. Then its time to head back quickly down the ladder, again Aof tells us we must hurry and I felt the strength of the current almost pull me down the ladder ledge. We all made it back out of the cave safe and Aof tells us he has a story about the cave he would tell us later... The trek back was the same way ...

Trang City & The Islands

... may of may not have been big enough to be called islands. How big does an island have to be to be an island anyway?? We arrived on the semi-deserted shores of Ko Libong, Trang's largest and least visit island, and found a young tuk tuk driver to take us across the island to our resort. We appeared to be 2 out of 5 tourists on the whole island-the rest were villages of Muslim fishermen. This was pretty awesome- we had the beach to ourselves- it's was beautiful, albeit ...
