... was beautiful. It gave a great view on the mountains. The guide politely pointed to a snake hanging in the trees. Kind of him. Brrr. After about 45 minutes we reached the point where we should exit the water and our ride was waiting. But there was a thin fish line and I ran into it. I grasped the line, afraid the hook would end up in some softer parts that I surely didn't want to be pinched. I managed to release tension in the hook and get the wire to ...

... had a soft drink each for the luxury of using their long chairs and we were just alone. The contrast with touristy places is shocking. You could see kilometres and kilometres of sand with no one on the beach and it makes you think that this is how Phuket/Koh Tao/Krabi must have looked like at some stage and tourism has transformed the way these places look. ... a stroll along the beach towards the beach bars. There wasn‘t a cloud in the sky and it was very hot but today there was a pleasant sea breeze. For a while I was the only customer at the Baan Thai Beach Bar and it was beautifully peaceful. As I tucked into a delicious lunch, watching fishing boats bobbing gently on the turquoise sea and a cormorant fishing from the rocks nearby, I decided that there really wasn’t anywhere else that I would rather be!

You Tarzan, Me Jane

... Tree House Resort! Our house is called the Jungle Tarzan View Point House. It is located in the rainforest in a real tree about 6m above the ground. We feel like Tarzan and Jane in this little jungle of ours. The rainforest is breathtaking, but extremely wet. It's been raining all day and all night long and quite heavily as well. I guess it's called the 'rain'forest for a reason. :-) Today we went elephant trekking in the morning. Elephants are ...
