Oh my ... We just had the scariest ride since we got to SE Asia. The ferry trip from Koh Samet back to Ban Phe was uneventful. The bus to Bangkok left an hour later than we thought it would, but we walked around the little town of Ban Phe and then read. The bus ride was long - we are not sure what our driver was doing, but he seemed to take the back roads rather than the freeway. It ...

Headed to bangkok's biggest shopping mall- MBK. We walked in and didn't know where to look, there's so much stuff in there, you couldn't take it all in. Flashing lights, annoying electronic Asian noises, fat Americans aggressively haggling little Thai clothes shop ladies and getting nowhere, the odd remote control helicopter whizzing round and fake eveything! There's so many fakes here that they have a classification system ranging from A for the best quality items hard ...

Due to our old people mentality the night before, we were up, bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready for a day by the ocean ...

... It had tomato, mushrooms, peppers, corn, and pineapple. Corn on pizza was definitely strange, but it was not too shabby. The Cesar salad came with tomatoes, croutons, and bacon. They cook with a ton of pork in Thailand. After we snuggled up again to watch another movie but I fell asleep so early. I definitely needed a good night sleep and a lazy day before we go up ...

We arrived in Bangkok at 11:25 pm local time or 1025am Calgary time. Our customs went smooth and our hotel shuttle was waiting. We arrived a Thong Ta resort just after midnight and went straight to bed. This is a very nice hotel... Most likely will be the nicest of our trip! Breakfast was included this morning and now we figure out what to do and where to go.. ...
