      ... of a dream!

And so it was time to celebrate! This whole trip came about when John Niven, having witnessed the Macchuu Picchu journey for Mally's 50th, thought he would like to mark his 40th doing something special. Since Annapurna Sanctuary had always fascinated him and had been a dream to visit - this trip was born! We took the time to have a 40th birthday party, somewhat belated at ABC, as we now can call, Annapurna Base ...

... the parents and I saw a dozen people sleeping there I'd probably take my kid elsewhere. For about half a hour, this little one ran up and down the spaceship, up and down the slide, and the sound echoed enormously. I put headphones in and tried to sleep by blasting Portishead into my ears, which did a good job of blocking out the din but not such a good job of letting my sleep. I was about to get up and move to see if I could find somewhere quieter, but I had promised the camper next ...

We were pretty tired and spent the day relaxing in the hotel. The next morning however would be spent trying to flog Chug, Liss's bike. The poor thing had been sat outside the hotel for days and we needed to find it a loving home. Liss sent me out on my own to try ...

... Nina's friend from high school had just got married. The wedding party wasn't much different than one in the states, food, drinking and fun. Good times! Was a beautiful view from the location as well, Wat Arun Temple was right next to the venue and the Grand Palace were just across the river.

Our longest day going here yet, we were tired! We finally got home at 10:30 pm and P 'Ae was hungry so we went out for a quick bite to eat of street food.

      Sleepy time! :)

Much better flight with air France. Food was hot and quite tasty. Watched a couple of films, read a book and slept a little and was back in Paris. Ears blocked though which is very frustrating. Made it home Much as it was when we left. Flowers still in vases - just 6 weeks ...
