... called us “young kids” over and handed Megs an arms’ length of jasmine! Jasmine is one of the most expensive flowers on sale and I insisted several times that I pay him for it. He refused to take any payment and just told us to enjoy it. I felt really bad for the man and so I gave him a token ten rupees as a thank-you although he had given us something worth close to Rs. 50, which was extremely generous of him.
