      Nice spacious rooms, good location at a decent price for the season. We booked on and got a good discount. Would stay here again.

      ... look at the Athabasca Glacier (the Glacier we stood on a few days ago). It is a lot colder today. There are some wildflowers out around the edges of Sunwapta Lake (fed by the glacier). By the time we get to Crossing Village the temperature has risen to 9 degrees and it does look as though there has not been as much rain here. We make good time and arrive at Lake Louise at 12.45 pm. The weather is cold and the cloud is hiding the mountain ...

      So many of you who have been over here have told us that the road from Jasper to Lake Louise was the most amazing scenery of all and I have to agree. WOW. The icefields with the glaciers colours and the baron contrast of Rocky Mountains at over 2000mtrs is sublime.

      I think just look at he pictures and judge for yourself. It was a tad cold at the glacier centre probably about 2 degrees but just ...

      ... dreams for future travel. She gave us a list of the 'must see' places in Banff. Tomorrow's adventures. After dinner we met up with friends from the Rocky Mountaineer, Margaret and Paul. Great to see them again since we departed the train at Jasper. Banff is an alpine township situated on a plateau surrounded by huge mountain ranges on all sides.
