    Nice spacious rooms, good location at a decent price for the season. We booked on and got a good discount. Would stay here again.

    ... while the temperature was between 3 and 9 so it was chilly but the skies were partly cloudy and the wind was minimal. As the sun is rising now the colour on the snow capped mountain is becoming a vibrant pink/orange. I'm watching the sun creep slowly over the other surrounding mountains and it is like a beautiful painting unfolding before my eyes. I can really see why people fall in love with the Rockies.     ... admit I only lasted about 5 minutes on the ice but did get in and out of the bus when I warmed got some great pics.

    ... hotel is much nicer looking than the outside…but that's down to opinion I guess.

    Johnston Canyon

    After lunch we went to back towards Banff, on the way detouring to Johnston Canyon. There is a well set out trail with walkways built out from the cliff sides of the ravine, which lead to two sets of waterfalls - lower and upper. It is a spectacular walk.
