Nice spacious rooms, good location at a decent price for the season. We booked on Hotels.com and got a good discount. Would stay here again.

I had a rather restless night- probably because I was so excited for what lay ahead. All packed up from the day before, I'd taken some food from the freezer to save me paying later.

Jennifer had arranged to meet at 9:30. They ran slightly late, but when they arrived, it was revealed that Nancy- to whom I had been discussing the 'family …

We passed the small town of Chase situated on Little Shuswap Lake. It was named after Whitfield Chase who came to the area in 1865. Although lured by gold, he turned to farming. Today Chase …

... rock and find remaining pieces of the path. Well with the backpacks it was really hard. We even had to go through the remaining snow from winter. Eventually we got down to the Paradise valley. We got a little bit lost on our way to the camp and when we finally arrived a storm began. We had to build our tent in the rain..so everything was completely wet, luckilly our sleeping bags were not. Welcome to the Paradise ...

... Lake Louise, whichI would obviously look very different during the summer, but equally beautiful with a frozen lake and snow covered trees and mountains. Along the trail there were far too many photo opportunities. So I obviously made the most of them, especially when we arrived at each of the frozen waterfalls, the first of which had some ice climbers on it. The only wildlife I saw along the trail was a lone ...
