My first impression of the hotel was that it was clean looking from the outside. This was continued on throughout the hotel.

TThe staff were friendly and at least two of the receptionists spoke english. The porters took my bag from the taxi, carried it to my room, put on the air-con and even changed the TV chanel to an english speaking one. The rooms were cleaned and towels changed every day.

          LAST DAY !!!!!
We got up later and went for a walk before breakfast. The beachfront was like watching leaf cutting ants , about 5000 people mainly females, all in purple t shirts running/ walking for some charity event. Once we managed to cross the footpath it was really quiet so not much people watching but we had a good walk. On the way back …

Good nights sleep despite the open windows allowing the fried fat smell to waft up and me taking 20 mins to find the bathroom light switch (hidden under the cable of the hairdryer)
We headed out to the iconic Christ on the hill which involved a cog railway ride and thankfully with clear skies we had a lovely view. It helped to orientate the …

Packed again and off to the bird park on the Brazilian side , very close to the airport. Unfortunately there was only one desk working on the Argentinian side and it took our guide an hour to process our forms before we could enter Brazil. This time we had to get out and have our passports stamped as it is for a longer stay. We have certainly got a …

The next day involved quite a bit of wandering and Havaiana shopping - Mike's shopping paradise. He truly has found the ideal pair of thongs for every occasion! We also spent a few hours wandering along the beach. It's not really ideal beach weather, though not ...
