... not the 5th! I walked past one fella one day and he nearly hopped off us he got up off his chair that fast - I goes - no need to get up for us, no thanks - and the cheeky git got smart back and said no thanks for what? I didn't hear him properly at first and when I realised what he had said we had walked on but I was so close to losing the rag with him. Cheek of him - I was only being nice telling him there was no point getting up coz we had no interest. One ...
Ko Samui, Thailand sharor... a can of Tuna on lettuce) and it was magnificent. Protein is good. Lisa had a chicken with cashews, rice and soup dinner. While we were sitting at the bed-type table for our meal, I mentioned to Lisa that I think that the Universe is telling me through this sickness to stay near family for a while. I think that I got the lesson and that the continual sickness was not required any further. I told the Universe that enough is enough. Well, withing about three ...
Ko Samui, Surat Thani, Thailand lweinreich... and the french waiter!!)
Went back up north for a night to go to a reggae gig which was good fun and meet some funny Italian girls, all very hot, chatted and chilled with one of them till early doors mainly about this really werid swedish dude who came back to haad graud and was so odd, it was funny he was even more boring than me!!!
slept for free at haad gruad which was cool and then headed back down on the Thursday for the full moon. the best bit of the full ...
... see much as the sea had gotten a bit choppy.
Since we've been on Chaweng Beach for so long we decided that for the last couple of days we would move to a new beach called Lamai beach. We got here this mornin, the hotel is lovely its right beside the beach but the best part is the infinity pool with a view of the sea in the background.
Our next stop is Koh Phangan for the infamous full moon party so you might get a drunken/hungover blog from us then!
Talk to ya then!
Each night we end our day on the beach laying in our chairs, reading and catching the last of the sea breeze before sunset. Despite the rampant tourism there is still a distinct local side in the village where we are staying. This fisherman provides a peaceful end to our day.
Amphoe Ko Samui, Surat Thani, Thailand kurick59... and said it was nice. Its like the stereotypical images of a tropical paradise, although with perhaps a few more bars and restaurants! There's not really a great deal to do, sit around on the beach, go in the water, eat, drink etc. I kept on threatening to leave and go to another beach called bottle beach but could never be bothered to actually pack up and leave before the checkout time of 11am. A day would be ...
Koh Phangan, Thailand stevehopkins... enter in shorts and tank tops. Our Lonely Planet guidebook said Fisherman's Village waterfront was the best spot on the island to enjoy the sunset. We thought it a bit odd since the waterfront there faces North - North East. Maybe there's some magnificent trick of light that reflects the sun so we can see it setting...? Well, Lonely Planet is starting to earn its nickname "Lonely Lie" and we watched the sun set behind some buildings and a hill. The village is nice though! Mmmm ...
Koh Samui, Thailand johannajulien... over to chaweng on a spur of the moment for a night out and to carry on with the cocktails! Met two lovely swedish girls who we may meet later at the beach party, came home in crazy truck!! Rained all day today, boooo! So sleptoff our hangover! Our pink pac-a-macs went down a storm with the thai's they loooved us! got free brek too from our new thai mate tom at the hotel ...
ko samui, Thailand katandhel... before you follow the LP blindly and go to Chaloklum to catch a long tail boat make sure they are running so you won't have to take a taxi all the way back around the island. The road is much better now and can be accessed even by motorbike although I don't suggest it especially if it's been raining. You won't be able to get up the long steep hill in the wet. They are planning to tear down BB2 and put up a resort in April 2009.
Ko Phangan, Thailand rcys... that happening in the UK!!!!!! The staff are so friendly here too, not like the jumped-up power-tripping jobsworths you get back in England! Our flight was delayed by almost an hour, but eventually we got underway. It was a good flight, with the most beautiful views. There was another massive storm over the mainland with an amazing sunset next to it. We landed in Bangkok and got Mel¡¦s bag checked in for her flight f ...
