We had decided to head for Köyceġiz situated on a fresh water lake between Marmaris and Dalaman. The distance was 46Km but the GPS estimated travelling time as about 1,5hours – the twisty roads and the built up areas mean slow progress and time to enjoy the views.

Our walk took us along the sea front at dusk - so picturesque but a huge new hotel may have an impact. Unfortunately the road is too narrow to safely walk back, at night. This meant we said no to the deserts!
