... and a few Thai brides. The food was really good and we had our first experience of the Chang beer. Alison particularly enjoyed her Thai red fish curry. 15th May - Unfortunately Nick and Alison are not feeling 100% this morning, so another day of relaxation is in order. We can't resist another quick shop that morning and pick up another few bargains. Late morning me and Jenn go to assess a local beach called Railay. It is on a peninsular and only accessible by boat. ... to get some supplies and I was pleased they had some good beers but of course it was 10.50 and they couldn't serve us until 11.00 so we gave up and left with just chocolate!

The views at the ...

... for a taxi. I say taxi.... It was two motorbikes!! Now I've been on the back on loads of bikes since being away but never with my big backpack! Getting on was hard enough then balancing myself with everything else- I had a day rucksack and my handbag. Paul's driver had taken his smaller rucksack leaving him to carry his backpack and fishing rods. As we pulled away, I almost fell off the back of the bike! Scared the life out of me!! I ...

... has been a bit weird. The people; amazing. Friendly, honest, nice, helpful, funny...The beaches, beautiful for the most part. The food, unreal! But the entire island experience has just been ruined by the floods of tourist. I know, I am one too, and I can't expect to have an Island to myself (or should I?) but man, its jyst crazy. I picture myself, alone on these beaches and it warms my heart. I picture these beaches and Islands 20-30 years ago. They must have been amazing. Clean ...
