Although it didn't rain, there were some large swells, preventing us from seeing Emerald Cave (supposedly spectacular) and also resulting in one puker. She almost made it all the way, too! As usual, I had a blast in the rough weather, though.

That night, we tried to eat our leftovers from the cooking class. We had no utensils of any sort and the soup and curry were ...

A bit later on we walked or should I say hiked to the viewpoint at the top of one of the mountains, in 34 degree heat you can imagine how sweaty we got, it was so gross! In the end we sat up there on the cliff side rocks for over an hour and took in all of the sights. You could even see Phuket which was so cool. Our full day on Phi Phi we went out on a boat ...

Koh Lanta has lots of different beaches and jungle treks and the best way to see the island is by renting ...

... sat down and had a drink with literally no one around but a small family next door and the Thai couple that owned the shop and their young son. The young boy was intrigued with a family of white people playing with their cameras, so trying to communicate with a boy who was just about of speaking age in a foreign language was going to be difficult so I just brought the boy a pack of sweets and his face lit up. Works in any language. The rest of the island ...

... right!) and some summer rolls before hitting the road again - this time in the dark but Ali expertly guided us round the bends to a cliff side restaurant with amazing views. Craving some fish we went in, ordered and enjoyed a drink only to be told 10 minutes later they had run out of fish! Disaster. (it's a good life when this is your biggest problem!) so back on the road to Klong Nin beach nearer home where we stopped off at a beachfront restaurant for a feast! BBQ on ...
