... and her mum had spent the day having some much needed mother and daughter time - which for them usually includes a bit of retail therapy and perhaps a massage or two! Low and behold on our way back from the dive centre, Ron and I saw them (whilst sitting in a tuk tuk), heading to the shops! We arrived back at the villa to find Harry - Amelia's brother, and Sinee - Harry's Thai friend from uni who I met back in Bangkok, both napping in the living room (which would now be there bedroom for ...

... touristy and less thumping music (which suits us just fine). Our room is a tree house den with a somewhat precarious staircase leading to the top. Heading up there is a small bathroom with a cold water shower then above this the actual bedroom and a balcony with a lovely view of the sea and a nearby island. After all the snorkeling and swimming earlier, we took this opportunity to soak it all in and soak ...

... easily flagged one down and requested Lanta Pura Hotel. The driver laughed and pointed down the road. He didn't even want to take us such a short journey as it turns out we were only a few hundred yards away By the time we arrived in the reception we were both soaked. On the way down the road, whilst sheltering under a shop front, an English man starting talking to us. We learned he had been here almost 3 weeks and so far ...

... birthday. We all ended up buying the same silly hat that folds up like a fan, we looked ridiculous but for a worthy cause. The locals found us funny! We got back in our car, Jess now driving and going the right way we headed to the snorkelling bays. We found bamboo bay which was so secluded and gorgeous. We spent most of the day going to different bays but not doing much snorkelling as the water was quite murky and rocky which didn't ...
