Sundays are quiet days in France; many shops are closed. I enjoyed walking around historic downtown Rennes this morning in the silence and the light of a low angled autumn sun. ... direction to follow!
Vannes is 13th century and has medieval ramparts and watchtowers and gates and there are beautiful halftimbered houses and buildings behind the townwalls. As we were only there for one day we took a mini bus trip which took us all around the old city and outside the walls! Afterwards we visited the Cathedral and visited one of the many delightful cafes eating patisseries! There is a lovely port area and the town has a great atmosphere also not ...
