Oh what splendour, what history, what grandeur and what clever people we have in our world to build such incredible places. ... Pilgrims would walk over the mud flats when tepees were out. A causeway was later built as more and more people travelled to the island. The Abbey was enlarged several times and a beautiful spire was added around 2008 via a helicopter! We walked up to the abbey and toured it using the audio guide. Very large rooms, no furniture.
