      I was on a mission of making my visa, hoping the next day I will finally manage.

      ... 540 pounds per person to stay there and the other option is a field research centre which costs 36 pounds per person. The lonely planet also says that the expensive place will come and collect you anytime but the field research only has buses leaving from a place called Lahad Datu on a monday, wednesday and friday.       ... cost me 50 ringgits instead of the 71 ringgits i expected it to. There are numerous upmarket hotels around the main square but i headed to Jalan Stephen Tan where there were four 'budget’ places close together.
