... we een keer of 5 verblijd met een groepje rond de boot. Ze komen van ver naar je toe zwemmen.
Minder blij waren we met de duizenden vliegende mieren. De overlast viel uiteindelijk erg mee.
En nog wat beelden van rond Alvor, een heerlijk oord om voor anker te liggen.

I made it to Lagos yesterday. Its basically a beach/party town. The second place that I walked into turned out to be a really great room for 25 euros a night complete with my first english language tv of the trip. Today I spent part of the day in Sagres, the southwestern most point in europe. Good for pictures and walking really really far. Tomorrow I´m going to attempt to get to Seville.

... like it. That night we went to dinner as a group and then headed off to a bar called Joe's Garage. Everyone was dancing, drinking, meeting people just an overall good time. The bartender lit some shots on fire as girls danced on the bar. Good times.

The next day we went on a Sangria boat cruise along the coast of Portugal! It was absolutely breath taking. I've never seen water soo ...

... we hit the town. Since i got there so late, there wasnt time to check out the beach that day. All i did was go to the super market with Lorena and Natalie and i was able to obtain a 79 cent bottle of wine. OMG, and it was soo good. We did a little bit of predrinking because thats what you do before you go out. We hit a couple bars, the first one being three monkeys. This place was just down the road and it had a board with all the ppl that have done ...

... views and excellent photo ops. The nice thing about this tour is there was more drinking than sight seeing. Next stop was the most amazing rooftop terrance/bar. Front row seats to the best view of Lisbon. With 2 pitchers of sangria, we found ourselves a little tipsy but it was definitely a moment for all of us. A very special moment.

Next was a stop at a traditional restaurant for cod fish dishes. This was followed by a free wine tasting at a local ...

After a few days of intense activity (lying on the beautiful beaches, and swimming. Tough stuff) We headed out for a big night on the town with our new friends, Mike and Dave from Melbs, Kelly from London - we re-named her 'Lily Allen', Asha the vet nurse from Perth, and some others who I can't remember right now - what can I say, we were pretty popular. For those who have spent time in Thailand or the Greek Islands, you may be familiar with 'buckets'. Well here we ...

If anyone is visiting and is able to drop off a few rings to a nearby resort. My friend owns a timeshare and the people at the resort will pay you to make it worth your while.

That's all behind us now (including being last through customs in Faro - but we got plenty of travel advice and tips). The hotel we are calling home in teh Algarve over the next 5 days is called Monte do Casal and it is fabulous! Notwithstanding that they upgraded us to a Suite with our own private terrace with views to the ocean. Will upload some photos of the hotel (where no kids are allowed), but before we do that, some welcomed sleep is needed.

... i was on my 3rd lap of Lagos trying to find hostel- turns out the last pub i was at was only 50 metres from my hostel but i turned left instead of right and ended up walking for about an hour... still managed to make it back for breakfast so i was pretty stoked. One thing you do tend to overhear are tales of recent demises "Old Fred's gorn then..." Went to see friends in Tonbridge on the way back, have dinner and watch the England game v Estonia.
