Das Komische am Abenteuer ist, dass man gar nicht merkt, wann es losgeht und wann es seinen Höhepunkt erreicht und wann es vorbei ist.

Daniel und ich haben 2 schöne Tage in Nida und Umgebung verbracht. Viel philosophiert über die Menschheit und ihre Leiden, über das Menschsein, über Vergangenheit und Zukunft, über Geschehenes, darüber was die Menschheit daraus lernen sollte, haben Klischees diskutiert und mehr als ...

... sind ein ganz gewöhnlicher, gleichsam genutzter Teil des Verkehrsnetzes, nicht davon irritieren lassen.
Wie auch immer... Jedenfalls ging die Reise durch das idyllische Land Litauens.
Grasgrüne Weiten, blaue Himmel, aufgepuffte kleine Wölkchen und den Himmel nicht so eintönig wirken zu lassen. Litauen gibt sich wirklich Mühe zu gefallen und tut das auch!
Das gute am Busfahren ist: Es steht dran wo es hingeht, Städtenamen sind international verständlich, ich steige ...

... town there were no tourists, no people as it was off season. We felt like we had whole town only for us...and the beaches!
There are also interesting places to see nearby, including some of the highest sand dunes in Europe, fisherman's ethnographic museum, gallery-museum of amber, neo-Gothic church (built in 1888).

... dark at night when walking back, but didnt feel unsafe to me. From the hotel to old town takes around 15 minutes on foot. Most of the way is a shopping street. The old town it self is small and not very exciting, but has some nice restaurants and bars. I had dinner somewhere outside in the city centre, which was very cheap. This being a Sunday evening, it was pretty quiet.

I am going to another beach town, Palanga, 30 min North. Micro busses leave frequently. They appear to wait until full which can be 2 minutes or 40 minutes (like to Nida).

This is a total beach resort. It's pedestrian walk even has Carnival type rides, huge cafes, ice cream everywhere … The crowds dwarf Nida. The beach has a volleyball tournament going on. I do my thing which is to walk ...

... As I walk into the courtyard, I see the restaurant in the back. There are several restaurants which appear to merge. I am apparently sitting in the are of one restaurant but am able to order from the menu of the steak house. Steak was OK. Service was terrible. I think the steak had been sitting out for awhile. In the US, I would send it back but too difficult with the waiter’s limited English.

... home cooked food from Ugne's Mom. She cheerfully made me a cup of coffee each morning, ah straight to my heart. Her English was surprisingly good and we helped each other through the language barrier. Each night we ate a different traditional Lithuanian dishes; borsch, kuggelus, herring salad, potato salad, meats, cheeses, etc... ... of the spit and is made of fine white sand, this section is split into family, male, female and nudist beaches, there however appear to be none of any of these. After a 50 minute bus ride through more forests over 50m high dune and through burnt out forest fire areas, we arrive in Nida. The place doesn't disappoint, this carefully looked after rustic fishing village is one of the country's top tourist draws and they seem very keen on it keeping it's ...

... people we'd encountered so far. The room has yet vacated though, since the check out time was noon, so we dropped our bags and headed off to the other main attraction in Klaipeda... the beach. It took a bit of a walk, and a short ferry trip over to the Coronian spit - a 50 km spit of land that ends at the border with Kalingrad, Russia. The beach itself was very interesting. ... called Alina and then left to our own accord. Went to a nice Italian restaurant for dinner, just a few minutes down the road and it was raining now anyway so it was the first place we came across. After dinner, it had dried up and we headed towards town before it started lashing it down again, we headed into a bar and it turned out to be a brand new bowling alley and bar, so we stayed for a couple of games before heading back to turn in for the night.
