... this period of year there are mostly aged people resting there, however I noticed there a lot of clubs near the beaches, so I consider that in summer this town is full of students. The beaches are sandy and what is important all those beaches are public. And one more thing - there are NO PRIVATE BEACHES in Lloret de Mar!
Lloret de Mar, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands eleoshka... I can improve! It´s weird starting from a really low base again, the same as with my spanish in Madrid. Time´s going quickly now, and I can´t believe my first week´s over already.
At the weekend I might go into Barcelona with some other trainees or maybe go swimming as there´s a pool in granollers. Got my first assignment to do as well, seems a bit tricky but I think I´ll be able to handle it. Anyway, I hope you´re all doing well!
At the Hotel Sidormes in Salt Kevin picked up a brochure on a large outlet shopping village situated north of Barcelona. As the wind had not abated in L'Escala, and in light of our previous success with the outlet shopping village in near Glastonbury we decided to head out to discover this village. It was about ¾ hour away, just off the main motorway, and looked very ...
Tossa de Mar, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands kevino101... Alison bought a small leather change purse for €2 to replace her stolen wallet. Then it was back to enjoy the pool at the timeshare. We spent a very relaxing day enjoying each others company, sunbathing in the heat of the day, before heading back to Girona airport with Chris & Milly at night, so that they could catch their flight back to London. Our farewells weren’t too teary, as we knew we would see them again in two weeks, in Auckland.
L'Escala, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands kevino101The timeshare (Port de Rei) is situated a short distance out of the town of L'Escala. We drove through town following Dora’s directions, but were not too sure where we were headed, eventually ending up outside a large building built on a rugged coast overlooking the Mediterranean. Our plan was to inform the manager of our late arrival (on the next day) and then head towards Girona where we were to pick up Chris & Milly who were joining us for the ...
L'Escala, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands kevino101Hi everybody! My name is Anna and I was born and I live in Sant Pere Pescador.
Since 2 years, my husband and I, are running one Bed and Breakfast called Mas del Joncar.
We love to travel and when we go abroad we like to discover the culture and costums from every place we visit.
Our area has a lot of interesting places to be ...
cerca!
desp escribo desde la muralla!

As if the Dali Museum wasn't cool enough, the next stop was two little villages on the Mediterranean coast called Portlligat and Cadaques. Dali lived in Portlligat and his house has since been turned into a museum, complete with big eggs on the roof (Dali was big on big eggs-they were all over the place at the Dali Museum). We drove up this tiny mountain road (which was interesting in a really big bus...) and as we were going over a hill, the ...
Last day with our C8 MPV and so Sue plotted out a day on the Costa Brava coast. Her research was spot on and we ended up for breakfast at Tossa de Mar (albeit at 10am). Gorgeous beach and easy parking just beating the rush. By the time we left (after a long swim) beach was packed. Sandy even did as the locals and bared her ...
Tossa de Mar, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands buckgw... which goes most of the way around the old town. At the top, I stop at the snack shop for a beer and eat the picnic I had prepared. Very relaxing watching the boats go by. I look at the bridge from afar when I can to see if my bag is still there. I pick it up at the end of the day. No problems.
Girona is another town with castle walls. I get there late in the day so all sites are closed. The hostel has only been open a few weeks ...
