      ... that I have finished the book I have little to o so I am waiting at the station in one of the great halls for the train to arrive. I am guessing it's just a scuttle between Venice and Paris what a shame it's not the orient express don't know if the budget would stretch that far! I decided to pay the extra 15 euro and go first class as it guarantees yo a bed though you share a compartment with three others, poor buggers won't get much sleep if I get a couple of beers in on the train though ...

      ... pub by spectators to buy him a pint or two. The bike was left in the lane beside the pub amongst the spectators and was picked up by the support crew sometime later. Not before the spectators had gone all over the bike and had a photo on or near it.       ... and so kept turning off the beaten track!! Some of these tracks were extremely muddy and looking ahead I often began wishing I had not come along this track!! Turning the bike around was at times not an option and so I just had to go for it and hope for the best!!
