The night before
School's out, work is on pause and the cottage industry is closed for Christmas. It's finally here after months of waiting and we're all beside ourselves with excitement.
The bags are packed (with space to spare thanks to Annette's frugal choice of clothes) and we have even managed to find room for Ellie much to Esther's relief.
We've got so many exciting new experiences ahead of us crammed into a 7 week trip. South East Asia here we come!

Morning of NY
... had enough and slammed the door. My response to this was to shout abuse, "I'm not gonna buy your album then!!!" I then stuck my fingers up at the little *****. The minibus stopped, and the now angry tits ran out and chased me followed by a bodyguard. As I ran down a back street, to my delight I saw a black Caribbean family who helped me into the house, unfortunately with difficulty trying to get over the baby gate. Then I woke. Back to the taxi... The agreed time ...
Liverpool.....Yeh, Yeh, Yeh
... t leave Liverpool without visiting The Beatles Story, a whole museum dedicated to the most famous product to come out of the city. It was full of amazing memorabilia and non-stop Beatles music, and even non-Beatles fans would likely be humming their songs for days afterwards. It was also hard to believe that here we were in a museum celebrating the 60s and 70s, a time that we lived through. We felt old. After visiting so many museums, cathedrals, and galleries ...
Liverpool is way cool :-)
with a weekend of nothing planned I decided to hit the frog and toad to Liverpool to visit me old china Simon from camp. Jumped on the virgin express which was quite a nice ride. Arrived in Liverpool at 10:30 and hit up a local bar for a quiet ale at the Wellington. Very seedy yet charming pub with old school 50's country and rock music. Met some locals who were hilarious. Easy day =)
... from Southport and is a port town where a lot of English people vacation. It is a nice little town, but it is mostly shops. And since it was raining, we didn't go into any shops.
For tea, Edith made me extremely happy. We talked, chopped, and cooked dinner together on her new cooker. I missed cooking my own food since all of my meals were eating out or getting takeaway. This was such a treat!!! Together (well mostly Edith) we made spaghetti bolognese ...
