    ... garbage it could have been the city dump. Incredibly, after two months on the road, this is the first time I have encountered roadside trash.     ... Memphis. We ended up organising with them to drive us around the next day and show us the real Memphis. It's quite a large city and things are spread out so to have a driver for the day was wicked. More on them later tho. After that we went to the baseball - just a triple AAA match between Memphis and Las Vegas. We didn't get there until about the 6 innings so we missed all the runs before.     ... Mississippi! We'd booked our hotel in Memphis based on some positive reviews on trip advisor that all carried the same comment "ignore how it looks on the outside, the rooms are nice". What we didn't know was that the "ignore what it's like on the outside" didn't refer to the looks of the hotel, but the area it's in.
