Horse Farm... Or so i thought

... the large size, but i thought hey why not im supposed to be expanding my horizons, and believe me thats exatcly what happened.<br> So i got to the station and this Lady called Libby picked me up. She took me back to the house, it was a complete dump. I'm not sure when the last time it got cleaned or someone even thought about cleaning it was, but it had not been recently. There was stuff everywhere and dirty washing just thrown on the floor in the bathroom, and to ...

... day.) It was all well and dandy until I had to get out of the sleeping bag. I did the usual &#8216;shuffle around trying to get dressed and stay as warm as possible&#8217; that anyone from a seriously cold climate would be familiar with, then set about making breakfast. Midway through, my hands were frozen solid, and I had to take a short detour to the ladies bathrooms to hold them under the hand-dryer until they thawed out again. I shuffled around the caravan park wearing as ...

Driving thru the Great Ocean Road

... them alone in a place where we didnt know there were Koalas, and second because we got to see two things: a young Koala and a sleepy Koala pooping...haha, that was funny! But we pratically made everyone driving thru the road stop and come check out the Koalas!!! Next stop was at a rock formation called "The Twelve Apostles", which is the main reason why we drove the Great Ocean Road. Originally the land extended out to emcompass the rosk formations, but over time the ...

Gods true Love in the gift of rest.

... in the ivy that was hanging above the wall in our living room. I knew it was a sign to remember what I heard. As the days went by I started to feel uncertain about what I was told to do. I started to question this reality. So I around the weekend before Christmas I went to English Bay like I normally do to enjoy my time with the ocean and nature... it was around 2 in the afternoon. I found a rock by the tree that fell down a couple of days ago. And just sat and observed ...

Birthday Kangaroo

... I spent my birthday doing.. Luckily, I did not spend it alone!! I've been hanging out around the hostel alot these last few days.. Went to Melbourne zoo 2 days ago and had a lovely time. It's a bit different than zoos back home, if nothing else but the mere fact that you can get closer to the animals here. There is one really cool 'outback' exhibit where you can walk through and see the kangaroos just sitting there (or lying lazily ...

Living in the Gold Rush

... of the most visited tourist locations in Victoria. The Sovereign Hill Museum. This museum is a recreated old mining town in Ballarat durning the 1860's Gold rush. The neat thing is they have workers that dress up in period costume and act from the 1860's. There were many things too do there, which included going into actual mines and to see an actual gold pour. we also saw how candles and tin pans were made back then. We ...

Parade of the penguins

... after dark when they waddle up the beach, some so round they can hardly move, and every so often one gets startled by something and they all about turn and rush back into the water. When they finally pluck up courage again they waddle back up and rush to their burrows while the babies squeak to guide them. They are really cute, but unfortunately because it was dark we were not able to photograph them, as the flashes would have scared them. Take my word for it!

Got back to Melbourne about 8'ish, picked up some steaks for dinner and were sooooooo happy to be home (that is how we feel at Sarah's and Micheal's). We slept fantastic in a cool bed that night! Wild Fires in the Grampians

January 26 - Ballarat Uuuuuugggghhhhh. All I could think about this morning was how an intelligent person would have packed up yesterday before dipping into the wine. Leaning over to pick up stuff and pack it into a suitcase was not really an action that was pleasant at all. Slowly but surely, we did get everything into the car. After some contemplation and discussion, we decided to return to Wolf Blass to purchase a picnic bag and picnic blanket with the ...
