From what I've observed it's about style and taste and not necessarily dressing up. Clothes are cut and worn with finesse. ... life. However, we did go to the Musee d'Orsay yesterday, for a selective gape at its treasures of Van Gogh, Monet, Cezanne, Pissarro , Sisley, Degas etc.....what a feast!

We went to the Opera Bastille for a performance of The Makropolous Affair.....quite an event, and I enjoyed it more than I anticipated....not being a great Janacek fan. Dinner with Philippe Cuper ...

... in Paris) and had a rest on the grass with the Eiffel Tower as our backdrop ... It was surreal. The last stop for the day was the hotel de invalids and Nepolian's tomb ... We took one last stroll down the Rue de Varnenne past all the consular residences back to our hotel for a rest before dinner.... We missed dinner...
