Berlin to Braunschweig
We left Berlin and headed for Braunschweig, about 200 km. to the west. We took a little detour due to a missed exit on the autobahn and are we glad we did! We drove through some delightful little towns, through the woods, and saw an old windmill. Thanks to his excellent directions, we arrived at the library of Oliver Dienelt almost exactly on time …
Bike Ride
... the 10 minute walk to downtown. Both the park and the paths along the Oker are lovely year round, but today the sun was shining and there was a cold nip in the air--perfect for a bike ride!

Lost in translation
... a couple of banking questions. Before she responded I visited the downtown bank and got my questions answered there, so I sent another note telling her just that. Her response: "That is great. If you ever have any other questions, don't bother to ask." I'm quite sure she meant "don't hesitate to ask." It gave me a chuckle. Hope it did the same for you. ...
Settling in...
... at the beginning of September. Vince feels like he has definite direction at Welger and is energized to make some good things happen there. We are enjoying the rhythm of our days, though they seem very different from the rhythm we had in Pella. We get frustrated, laugh often, and pray without ceasing. We look forward to what else God has for us in this adventure. The ride has already been incredible!
