... turned out to be a great spot, there was a specific cycle lane right next to the beach with views out in to the med. the cycle track was well constructed and i can imagine in summer this place is chocker block. So a flat cycle lane shoudl be a good ride........ for the majority i was in first gear.....first gear is designed for the Alps not the sea side.... occasionally I pushed it up in to second just so i didn't fall over (i was going that slow). ... of going down the med towards to Monaco i will do a u turn and go back to Toulouse. its fine, i had already decided i would go to Monaco another time....i think i need my Tux with me to really get a taste for Monaco, rather than my rather smelly karki pants...hehehehe.

so i am now planning next weeks ride and then i think i will be heading home. i think i might even book a fancy pants hotel in Toulouse for the last few days to treat myself.

... ecoute Starbuck! oui oui! lol petite coupe de vino moment skype avec mes parents.

Vendredi;go en ville pour visiter Avignon. evidament on va au pont, le classique. lol visite de la vieille ville, promenqde devant le palais des papes, le rocher des doms, rue des teinturiers . on retourne chercher nos packsacs au pont (merci au gens pour les avoir garder!) go au train, direction Montpellier!

On our way to Avignon we stopped to see the famous Pont du Gard. This bridge was part of the aquaduct built in the 1st century AD by the romans to bring water from Uzes to Nimes, about 30 kilometres. The bridge is all that remains of the aquaduct. It was an awesome sight stretching 275 metres and 48 metres high comprising of 3 levels of arches. It was amazing to read about its construction and realise what an incredible engineering feat it ...
