... out of 16 required!) so we boldly decided that this was too challenging and to give up and head on to the next one. Walking back to the car, we found a French Patisserie, and some of the most amazing looking food I've ever seen...all sorts of sweet foods, really well presented and they looked so good I had to try some, so I went for the chocolate profiteroles, and they tasted just as good as they looked.
First stop for the day ...
The Altar
Last night I stayed in evening worship until the candles were extinguished by two young people. Today I arrived early to morning service in time to see the candles being lit by one young man. I was one of the last out and the first in. I also was one of the first out at the morning service.
The altar is a jumble of about a hundred leaning cement blocks with ...
... ocean passes with schools of impossibly-colored fish, docile sharks, and giant manta rays.

Chaintre, Burgundy, France brandclothing1"02/11/08 "I am, once again, at Mâcon-Loche station. My stay in Taizé is over. It is 8:13am, and I have been up since 6. The bus to the station left Taizé at 7:21am, and my train from here to Paris does not leave until 10:30, but the next bus didn't leave Taizé until then. So, here I am with 2hours and a quater to spare. "Yes, I am tired, and my ankles are cold, but I am inside, and already it's ...
Macon, Burgundy, France mapoirat... fort attrayante.
Macon, Burgundy, France mapoirat080623 Beaujolais No tour this AM so I went to bed with the idea I could sleep in. So I was sound asleep when the super loud announcement woke me -- we are docked in Macon, tour departs at 8:30, etc. I couldn't get back to sleep, esp after hearing the long-winded German version and the English version and the French version, so I finally dragged myself up to breakfast at 9. I just couldn't wake up, was just dragging off the ship and into ...
Macon, Burgundy, France voyager-sueWe went to Cluny almost every day. It is 12km away from Taize. The best way to reach tere wes hiking. That was the first time in my life to do that. It is beatiful and typical French vilage. It is something between city and vilageand it has very rich history. There was a swiming pool, a supermarket, Caffee de Paris, and other things that we needed. But also it was very beautifull town, so sometimes we went there just to take a walk and hang around.
Cluny, France jelenamaric... cutting by me, he ate almost all of it with gusto. Mich and I ate saucisson Lyonais, and lentils which was so much tamer. I tried to out do Hugo at the end, but the Cervelle Canut was nowhere near as radical as I had hoped. It was a lovely end to a beautiful holiday and the drive to Geneva sealed out trip home, with breathtaking passes, and deep valleys full of lakes, snow and wild forests.
