    First stop on another big driving day was the historic fishing village of Camaret sur mer. A lovely drive on single lane roads passing through little settlements and villages with houses to the edge of the road and well kept houses with little to distinguish the historic from the old and modern.

    ... functioning brakes) to see the beach. We were only around three minutes by bike from the beach. The photos simply can't do the appearance of a Breton beach justice. There are several rock formations and even bunkers from WWII on the beaches in Brittany. There were an unbelievable amount of shells and Brittany is also very well known for its seafood and crabs (behind Maryland, of course).

    ... ended in the port. This city was mostly destroyed by allied bombing raids in WW II, and the rebuilding is more modern than the surrounding towns. The port was significant in the mid 20th century and continues to be today. There are many large cranes along the sea walls.
