    Today has been pretty uneventful with mostly easy riding along the canal, except for the first 25 kms to Bourbon Lancy, which had some good climbs and some good downhills. Gave the legs a bit of a workout. We rode into Bourbon Lancy around a beautiful park with a small lake and some thermal springs.     ... saw a Maccas sign so John thought we'd eat there for lunch, rather than more salad rolls and pastries. It was brand new, quite unobtrusive, and had lovely picnic tables with umbrellas outside. You ordered from the counter, but they brought it out to you at the tables. The menu was much the same as home. I had a wrap, it wasn't too bad. We rode on along a different canal, Nivernais Canal, for the afternoon, and unfortunately didn't see any more boats coming ...

    ... bush twice, and then had to do a little jiggle on my seat for the next couple of kms. We cross back and forth over the bridge from time to time, in some places the Loire is so wide there are two bridges to get across.
