    Slept in until 8:40am; Sunny & not as hot (25C). Picture perfect day! Beautiful evening. Chocolate croissants from Boulangerie across the street (€4.40) Took subway from hotel to Eiffel Tower (Porte de St Ouen to Miromesnil to Trocadoro). €21.70 for day pass. Huge line at Eiffel Tower; Got in line at 10:35am; First ticket counter took 1 hour; Paid €18 to walk up stairs to second level; paid €26 to take lift to top; Very long line for lift.     ... time. This was more like it. We could only have enjoyed it more if we would have known about the Segway's first. They came zipping out of the trees. That would have been fun on the miles of pathways. We finished the tour by coming back up the central path from the canals where people were row boating. Nice day.
