... it is repairing itself so hopefully a few easyish days and a rest in bordeaux should sort the problem. I had lots of energy and the ride was easy, i made such good time i had to go slow for the last 20-30k so i didn't get there too early. Weather has finally turned good with a blazing sun and temperatures into the low 20's.
The B&B is superb. Bridegette the owner is very welcoming. She worked in Paris all her life and 5 years ago decided to go for a quieter life ...
Cognac
... elixir! Une fois la visite de la ville terminee, nous avons visite le chateau de Francois 1er, qui est devenue au debut des annees 1800 le lieux de fabrication du cognac Otard.
En fin de journee, nous avons repris la route pour finalement atteindre La rochelle. A la noirceur et sous la pluie, nous avons mis un peu plus de temps a trouver notre hotel!

It is a shame that they do not publish their names so that we could place comments on their blogs. I realy enjoyed my stay at La Giraudiere and Paul the host was fabulous to live and work with. My stay at LG will stay with me for the rest of my life so go spam on someone else's blog not mine.

... I was mostly amused by the way the French speak. They are so animated! They speak not only with their words, but their hands, their eyes, their facial expressions and their bodies! I love it!! I could just sit and watch them all for hours and somehow it all start to make sense. The 'music' of the French language resonates with my soul and maybe on some level I understood after all.
