Chapter 2: Bless (Bye), Iceland!
... giving us no time to wave him down. Needless to say, we missed our tour and had to go sign up for an evening one that took us around from 5:00 - 10:30pm. For the first leg of the trip it was just the 2 of us, so we enjoyed a private tour, though it would have been nice to have more people in the tour group! Bregur, our guide, was informative and nice enough...then we picked up an older couple along the way ...
Raincoats and Umbrellas
... being the birthplace of Shakespeare. Not my bag really even though I studied Othello in school.....but they are cashing in big time in this town. We did go through the cottage of Anne Hathaway, wife of said famous playwright. Very pretty with a thatched roof and gorgeous garden, we really enjoyed seeing it and hearing about life in that time.
