... the 2nd an angry character and on and on. Each dance was a story in itself. The hand movements of the dancers are amazing. I don't know how they do it. They all seem to have long fingers that they can twist upwards like talons and they wiggle them with little movements. So much of the movement comes from the hands and arms. The costumes were beautiful and even though the dances seemed to go on forever, ...

      Relaxing at Le Meridien

We arrived at Le Meridien in Jimbaran and were ready to relax in luxury. Anoop had earned a lot of Westin points back when he was working in Ottawa with Telus and we had decided to splurge one night and use some points to pay for our stay. While we checked in, we sipped a welcome drink and were told that we had been upgraded to a "lagoon view" room since Anoop was a SPG member. We were shown our suite which was at least 600sf! ...

The town itself is nothing to write home about and many of us would have preferred an extra day in Lovina (though the hotel in Jimbaran was lovely and with a beautiful beach and pool).

... resort restaurant, something we vowed we would try and avoid. Walking into the restaurant at around 8pm we found it deserted. After walking towards a counter near the kitchen and looking around we headed towards the door and suddenly a woman appeared from behind another counter near the door. Looking down it became evident that she was asleep on the floor when we walked in, we could tell by the yawn, embarrassed look and rolled up towels on the floor she was using ...

... invisible almost felt worse. I know there are many reasons that this man could have ignored me, but after all of our travels it is hard to believe that there was not at least a portion of sexism.

I want to make it clear that this is not to be a rant on any one culture. It is rampant in all cultures. Also, we have met individuals in all the countries that we have visited who have been bright, kind, respectful, open-minded and welcoming. ...
