There were maybe ten people in the entire cabin, we had our own food bar with coffee machine, sandwiches, cold drinks, etc. (by the way the chicken burger was worse than what you get at McDonalds), massive windows opening to the entire front and sides of the ship, and big red cushy reclining leather seats. ... which is very spread out, up and down many hills. Lots of very old buildings, interspersed with very new architectural gems which fit in with the overall scheme of things (even the McDonalds). Nothing above six stories, even in the commercial center. Very tranquil, other than the perpetual traffic. No room to build modern highways. Saving all our energy for Athens tomorrow. ... ate a big lunch of grilled octopus, stuffed calamari, and a variety of Greek dips and bread, drank a bottle of Prosecco, and even had the town's best gelato as a treat to ourselves for making the hike to Oia (so much for burning off all of those calories). We did not torture ourselves to hike back to Fira, there was a public bus that took us :) We met dad & Lisa who had a relaxing day touring the island by boat and bus, and bragged to them all night about our hike!
