    ... the Philippines, where I was earlier, or Lombok, Indonesia, where I went afterwards. Bali is way more crowded and developed, with more westerners in it - by far - than any of the other places I've visited this year in SE Asia, with the possible exception of Bangkok. And it is very crowded and busy too!

    ... much all of Kuta beach and while it looked nice it wasn't anything to write home about. I started to walk along the path besides the beach until there was no more path, only beach. The sand wasn't that nice so I turned off back to the road which was where there was a large gate which was the official entrance to Kuta Beach.     ... a taste of the real Bali. My only regret though is that he could get better with this experience with us and may figure out how to actually get paid more than a lesson for the power and influence over our next return. However it is unlikely that he will wield the power to have it named after him since his palms are facing up for a benefit from it.

    Whilst Dave was feeling brighter, Jacqui was still full of cold, and so we did little before burgers at Kadei for lunch. We spent an hour or so at the internet cafe, then went back to the guesthouse for Jacqui to get some rest.
