... of us and our new german mate headed downstairs for a drink. I got a Floating bintang which was a Bintang beer put upside down inside mango cocktail. Kuta is known for its nightlife so of course we headed out to see if it lived up to its name. Not really knowing how long the strip went on for we ended up the full length of the street past thousands of young absolutely wasted aussies, it was like an asian version of magaluf or the likes. To tackle this milarky we needed food so ...

So we went and got some food and had a walk around the town. The beach seems nice, not a paradise beach, lots of local tourists and surfers trying to catch some waves. They sell some lovely clothes here, it's going to be hard to stay away from the shops! We finally got checked in and there weren't any standard ...

Day 1025 Tuesday it was back to Mataram. Pay for extension, get pictures taken, finger tips pressed for prints. Pretty hardcore for a month long extension, but what can you do. We got to imigrasi at one and it was almost four when we got dropped off at Mataram Mall. We didn't shop this time but this was easier to explain to the driver than our hotel a block and a half away. Super late "lunch" at McD's then back to the hotel to wash away the days sweat. Around nine we walked ...

... but that was after going to explore the resort of Kuta which had been described by many as 'full of Aussie yobo's' so we went expecting the worst. In fact it felt more like Alcudia than Malia and was no where near as bad as what us Brits have done to half of Spain and Greece. The main issue here were the hawkers trying to sell anything from a frog ornament to beer and cocaine. Every 2 minutes it was hard to get any peace on the beach. However the sunset here was worth all ...
