      You can't spend time in Bali and not check out the beach. So that's precisely what I did in the morning. I got there, stayed for about 10 minutes, decided it was far too hot to lay in the sun (somewhat surprisingly, getting a suntan has never been a problem for me) and promptly returned to the hotel.       ... carving place, where Stu nearly bought a 300 solid wooden elephant about 2ft tall and weighing 18kg, luckily we didn't have enough money on us anyway.
