    This is a very well-run place to stay with marvelous views of the fjord. If you enjoy being close to daily life of local people in various places, this is for you!

    ... houses had a WHL N17 plaque on its outside wall (for my fellow Yids). This cabin wasn't as nice as the one in Voss and the people managing the grounds were a bit strange, but I would have settled for a cardboard box and a couple circus freaks managing it for this view. We were literally wedged between the two nearly vertical walls of Naeroyfjord, not to mention Kjelsfossen, Norway's highest waterfall practically tumbled on our doorstep. Not too shabby for about $50 ...

    ... hotel, which becomes almost eerily quiet once the tour groups leave. We had the "privilege" of watching an oldish Japanese lady, fully dressed as a geisha, pose for photos amongst the flowers underneath our window. Much to our amusement, this went on for a good 20 minutes or so. We had a buffet dinner at the hotel, which carried a wide selection of fish and various types of meat (including deer stew).
