Hello again!

I'm now writing you from my very cozy room at Posada del Cafeto in Xalapa. However, when it comes to blogging, I am not yet finished with Veracruz. Yesterday began with my first visit to Veracruz's famous cafe, Gran Cafe del la Parroquia. I fueled up for the day by having two lecheros (coffees with milk). That's some serious caffeination, but, as they say, when in Veracruz...

Greetings from Veracruz!

I arrived last night after a day of travel that felt neverending. I think what made the experience so exhausting was that the Mexico City airport was uncomfortably warm. My 5+ hour layover dragged on as I nearly broke a sweat waiting...and waiting...and waiting for my connecting flight to Veracruz. Don't get me wrong, airports are great people-watching venues.
