... city center to the beach, and it’s a pretty nice walk. The beach, however, was not so nice. It looked okay, but had an unmistakable stench of urine. I’m not sure if it was just something in the water, or if it was actually urine, but either way it wasn’t nice. I only stayed down there for about a half hour and then headed back up to the hostel.

... orignal Easter Island head and a fairly well preserved mummy, there is a beach, although not a particularly pretty one, and the promenade along the beach makes for good walking and running. Due to the delay in this “quick snack”, the original plan of heading off to an Observatory was cancelled and we headed back to our hotel for a quick nightcap and some well earned kip. ...

Day 5

... the view by the lighthouse. After a ~2 hour walk down in the burning heat, we caught a bus back to La Serena and got off at the supermarket. Rach bought a hotdog while I bought some pollo viennas and bread rolls to make hotdogs with when we got back to the hostal. When we got back, Rach and Ash picked up their nice smelling clothes from the laundry. Not gonna lie - I was pretty jealous. As we cooked dinner the lady found ways to watch us as we cooked! Super awks but ok. We then ...
