He had to send his handpan home before our flight, and La Serena was the last city we would be in, so his busking days were drawing to an end. ... days time so many of the stalls are up and running. I tried some local food- a pitta bread/roti type thing with mashed avocado and salsa on top. It cost 50p!!! Well worth it! I then found some weird chocolate coated tubes with butterscotch inside...heaven! These were only 30p! ... the guy who ran the Hostel. He was so lovely. We then caught a taxi to the bus terminal at about 8pm and spend 3 hours there til our first night bus 11.15pm) to Santiago. The bus was gross, and had lots of vapour on the windows - probably due to the quantity of people and cold. Also there was two annoying kids in front of us who did that annoying whining thing.
