... curb out front for about 20 minutes until the owner showed up. She is a lovely old lady who treats every guest like they are her child. She invited me in to what appears to be just a house. I sat in the living room, used their wifi, and then had breakfast in their dining room.

The next day (18 September) was independence day for Chile. We were told the best place to go was the festival in Coquimbo. After getting directions from the hostel, we got the bus there. ... the next bus leaving at 11am which means we arrive early evening.

The TurBus was excellent. The seats were big and plush and reclined. Everything was really clean and they even catered on board! I am shocked with how people appear to eat here. It seems like a lot of junk food and softdrink. On the bus they gave us all diet coke instead of water to drink.
