Apparently only every few years there is enough rainfall for the wild flows that live in the sand to grow and this had been a wet year so there were flowers which was very pretty! Well, here I am in La Serena, after 7 hours on the overnight bus from Valparaiso. And, I have to say, that it wasn´t as super-unpleasant an experience as I thought!
