    Boy, isn't that the truth! As much as I love traveling, as much as I love South America, we sure do have it great here in our country. I am the first to tell you that I take so many little things for granted. Brushing my teeth with tap water, eating salad (can't do that in third world countries), walking down our streets without worrying about being "the foreigner", eating food that we understand, speaking our own language.

    ... Factory for supper. I had a tasty flatbread, followed by raspberry white chocolate cheesecake, which was amazing. Then, we grabbed a cab again to head down the street to Honda Center. Traffic was slow because of the simultaneous hockey and baseball games with the facilities being close together. We still got there with time to spare and it wasn't long before we started spotting Jets jerseys. I would guess there were somewhere around 1000 jets fans ...

    ... for some last minute shopping. Drama was to ensue when we left one of our larger bags at the hotel but thanks to some great service from the hotel reception, a town car driver who chauffered our bag and the baggage checkin lady at Delta (who I suspect had a soft spot for Gary) we ended up on the plane with all bags intact!!


    So our trip of a lifetime is almost over.....

    ... 8211; an enormous gorge/canyon/valley where we could see up to Palm Desert,
    Palm Springs and the other various cities in that area and down to the Salton Sea – Mexico http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salton_Sea . Back to civilisation then and a delicious bowl of soup at a little vegetarian restaurant before making our way back to Palm Desert.
