Touring around the city area on the hop on hop off routes was just like touring a construction site with new buildings and subways under construction. Singapore is trying to reduce the amount of traffic by three methods, tolls on inner city roads at various prices according to time, making it prohibitive to buy new and used cars eg 100% import tax on new cars and through a permit system up to 60,000 for a used car subway and expansion as mentioned before. ...

We get to catch up with everyone else on the long weekend for Owen's ...

... Adventure Cove, a pristine hodgepodge of water-based
amusements, which included an interaction with dolphins, snorkeling with
tropical fish, swimming in glass line tubes through tanks of rays, fake wave
machines, tubes – all reached by a slow-moving river (a concrete channel, to be
more accurate) which circled the park enabling us to drift ...

... were headed back to our hotel... Day 4...Singapore is an awesome city. Very clean and their transport system is impeccable, really is catered for the English. It would have been nice to explore more but it is very expensive when your budget is dropping. The heat..well b has spent half his trip looking like he has been dunked in a swimming pool! And I too find it quite sticky, worth paying the extra bit for aircon. So we were now on our way to ...
