I'm just not into Miami. Miami is probably not into me either. We have just got so very little in common, apart from the fact I watched the original Miami Vice in the 80s (not that bad film remake) and I watched the first series of CSI Miami (before I realised what a load of tosh it was). So I knew a bit...I knew about the 75% Cuban population...the huge Spanish influence on the architecture ...

So the Cuban place around the corner last night was good but right in the hustle and bustle. Its the kind of strip thats a little annoying to walk because everyone is hard selling their restaurants to you so you kind of feel like telling everyone to go jump. We got a table straight away and it didn't take long to order - i had crispy pok belly bites as appetiser, wendy had sizzling bbq guava ribs. For mains I had the shredded cuban steak (which had clearly ...

... we ended up buying buy one get one free margheritas from a bar with live music. This consisted of 2 men taking requests; all which we requested, they didn't know so I was a bit disappointed by that (who doesn't know Go Your Own Way by Fleetwood?). We looked on whilst some very drunk, middle aged women were sexy dancing to their husbands. Good times. Our first night sleeping in the van. We were absolutely baking with the heat. It was 29 degrees at midnight so we decided ...

      ... our afternoon adventure.

This evening we dined at Casablanca's and dined outside on the terrace. The salmon salads were the absolute best. Also, tried the fried sweet plantains. I love these. The salmon salad was fried pieces of salmon with taco shells that had refried beans spread on them. Avocado, onions, and lots of greens were the remainder of the salad. This had to be one of the best salads ever. The views were fantastic of ...

... a lot things to see and do it.

      Coral Gables:
The Venetian pool. It’s very nice, but it is closed on December until February 1st for construction. I will try too in next week. There are many artificial caves and waterfalls. It is the largest public pool in Florida.

I hope to help future adventurers and that you would have no problem of congestion due to Justin Bieber’s show.
