A week flew by. There are many shopping malls here. And hanging out in a big mall seems to be a national hobby. Off course there is air conditioning. Which is nice, but doesn't explain it all. But an Indonesian mall is HUGE. Inside you'll find complete streets and food corners. It might sound weird, but it's easy and convenient to stay in all day.

on 17-21 November 2009 I had the opportunity to visit Bandung in order to follow the workshop document management system in the telecom PDC 2009 bandung. My visit was the second time since 1994. departs from surabaya with executive class train Argo Wilis at 07.30 hours on Tuesday morning. expensive trains worth 205 thousand rupiah is very comfortable. The journey takes more than 12 hours and got on bandung at 20:00. so tired of it because it happens to rain heavily.

I spend my first few days in the town where I'll spend most of the upcoming two months. I visited this country earlier, twelve years ago. Somehow this time it's easier to get used to the surroundings. The weather is mayor change though. From a winter with never ending rain (cold rain that is) and hardly any sun to 30 degrees Celsius. A very steady 30 degrees, because it doesn't' t really cool down at night.

We were accosted by several taxi drivers but managed to fend them off! Luckily after walking the gauntlet several times and after about 10 minutes we spotted our driver, phew! It's gonna scheduled in January 7th. I'm gonna have this vacation with my friends in University of Indonesia Press, Suara Mahasiswa. We'll depart from Jakarta by Train (Senen-Malang) maybe. after that we have so many event to attend there. I hope it will be a success trip :)

... belum lg pertanyaan td terjawab, didepanku melintas seorang kakek yg berjualan es puter. Subhanallah ... beliau masih bersemangat mendorong sepedanya mencari pembeli meski hari sudah malam n jualannya baru laku separuh ... Keesokan harinya,ktika aq berangkat ke TJP...di jalan aq bertemu seorang bapak penjual televisi keliling ... Beliau sedang bersiap2 setelah berteduh menunggu hujan reda. Q ...

Before reaching our jungle camp by the river we had many other wild encounters with Thomas leaf monkeys,hornbills,monitor lizards and many strange insects. In the morning we headed back along the river in a quick fix raft made with rubber tubes and ropes smashing through rapids over rocks before floating on the gentle stream back into the picturesque beauty of buktit lawang village.

... fun, only NOT! yes, reminded me of those scary parties they used to have on school camps in summer, and the event wasn't far from it. we all got bathed in a mixture of slime and whatever else gross stuff they could find in the galley, and it took me 3 days to clean the **** from my ears. ;-) anyway, now I have a certificate from neptune himself, so hopefully i won't have to meet him again.

... any beers so we called it a night and headed to bed about 9! We woke up and headed for breakfast in the nature reserve, the accommodation was pretty poor and the shower consisted of a bucket of water! We went for another walk round this morning to see the local village and even ended up playing pool at someone's house. After lunch we had a herbal medicine demonstration before heading onto our next destination, and it wasn't a minute too soon!
