... Sorry Arv, as tempting as Romford sounds for New Years, we're going to be holed up in Jakarta watching some traffic lights, crowds and hopefully a few fireworks if our hotel window is pointing the right way 5:40 sun's just coming up and the driver's on his way down to meet us as we approach reception. I'm sitting on our verandah enjoying the sound of steady rain this morning. The skies are grey in every direction, so it is good that we had planned a quiet morning. Lots to tell about the last few days. Thursday we started slowly, breakfast and time by the pool, reading and planning the activities we wanted to do during the week we have here, After a light lunch, we headed to the Monkey Forest, which is very close to our cottage. One guide book suggests that it ...

... in Canada as an undiagnosed dyslexic, and as a result had a miserable school experience. He moved to Bali when he was 25, started a silver jewelry business which turned out to be very successful, married and had a family. When his wife took him to see AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH he decided that he needed to do something to try to save the planet for his kids. And so, since he had such a bad school experience, he thought he'd try to do something there. (There is a TED talk ...
