At the hostel I chilled out for a while before heading back out to a little restaurant for dinner where I had Lithuanian ravioli which was a mix between pasta and steamed dumplings but was very nice. Entering the baltics overnight it was great to wake up somewhere new rather than drive there and the associated fatigue, yes whinge whinge, but it's more taxing on the other side of the road, and they still drive pretty shiftily here. Vilnius was quite different to the recent cities and towns we had visited, very clean and kempt, and the old square with the town hall feels like the back to the future set, i even tested the sockets to see if it could draw a few gigawatts...*sigh* it ...
