Sweet San Diego

... the coast and saw some beautiful scenery along the way although the smooth ride was enough to put me to sleep for a power nap! It was a quick train ride and didn't seem like a two hour trip and before we knew it we were in San Diego.

From the train station we could see our hotel the Embassy Suites. Brad checked Google maps and worked out it was a short walk and not worth trying to find a cab especially with our luggage ...

... to hit me all at once. I was sat in the very back of the taxi, and managed to find a bag in time, but unfortunately this bag happened to be EXTREMELY small (barely even a bag), and it seemed as though I had quite a large quantity to dispose of. Sure enough, we had a bit of an overflow problem, although I did keep it quiet, paid the taxi, and started to walk back.

silver strand blvd runs down the 5 mile sand spit only 60ft wide in places, with no parking/stopping allowed, to imperial beach another popular sandy area and back to the southern end of San Diego...

we had enjoyed our stay in san Diego but now we must leave and begin the long and winding..no empty.. road to phoenix..
