... the overall level of danger.

Overall though, it was a really positive iniial introcution to Mexico, even if I had largely stayed in the main touristy districts. The next place on my trip was a smaller beach town called Ensenada, around 3 hours south. Partially shook off the Tequila hangover, apologised for my ahem illness the night before, escaped from the the worlds most evil cat, and then jumped on the first rickety bus ready for the next adventure!

... a good portion of the day. Ha. Anyway. I did get up a few times. And it was a blast. A definite workout however too. Anyway. We returned the surfboards at 5 pm. And head back to the hostel. I had a shower and freshened up. On the return journey walking from the beach to the surf shop, the entire street had been transformed into a farmers market. I had to check it out ! ... we continued driving south and once we were at the border of USA and Mexico I called my aunt that i was near Tijuana and if me and Chong can stay over for the week and won't have to pay and stay at a hotel, and she agreed and said of corse. Had a lovely dinner together. Pat had made 3 different meat taco's with homemade guacamole, cheese and other scrummy bits.

So that's it, another destination done. It has been great to spend time with Sophie as I haven't seen her for a couple of years, but not enough to get to know her. I've had such a fabulous time and I know that I will be back sooner rather than later. Keep that spare room free Sophie!! ...
